The Wellbeing Workshop aims to equip Care Workers with the necessary skills to care for their own mental health in the challenging work they do with vulnerable children affected by HIV/AIDS, poverty and conflict.
1. To equip Care Workers with knowledge and awareness of the emotional impact of child and youth care work.
2. To develop self insight and awareness through experiential processes.
3. To equip Care Workers with practical tools in self care.
4. To recognize when to self refer for professional mental health support and identify a resource list of organizations that offer counseling.
5. To create an awareness of organizational dynamics and the impact of this on individual staff members and on health care practice.
