Alison is Zakheni Managing director since April 2015. She mediates and facilitates for creative competence with people in organisations. She is an independent consultant, senior trainer, mediator and organisational development facilitator with experience working with government, the United Nations , non- governmental and civil society organisations. She worked in formal education for 15 years and non-governmental organisations for a further 18 years. She holds an MA in Cultural and Media Studies, (UKZN) postgraduate Certificate in Arts and Science (Harvard University ) and was a Chevening Scholar at LSE. Her areas of expertise include: multi-stakeholder dialogue facilitation and programme development and evaluation form the perspective of human rights, conflict sensitivity and gender equality.
Her current focus is a creative integration of her experience in the development and educations sectors, the arts and capacity building. Her approach to work is that it needs to be “inspirited” and that means putting imagination, intuition and spiritual intelligence to work to assist organisations to manage change, transform conflict and build organisational culture and capacity for leadership centred in a philosophy of service and critical thinking.
